Leo has over 10 years of experience leading high-frequency trading desks at top-tier financial institutions. Before founding Portofino in 2021, he headed systematic options market making in Europe at Citadel Securities. He also held roles at IMC Trading in Chicago, Amsterdam, and London. Leo holds an MSc in Management from ESSEC and a bachelor's in Mathematics from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
Taym Moustapha
Head of Trading
Taym has 10+ years of experience leading high frequency trading operations. Prior to joining Portofino in 2021, Taym headed the systematic trading team in European equities, futures, and options at Citadel Securities. He holds an MSc in Applied Mathematics from École Polytechnique and an MSc in Mathematics in Finance from New York University.
Dipak Shah
Head of OTC Trading
Dipak has 20+ years of experience managing and running trading businesses as a proprietary risk taker and as a market maker in FX and Rates. He has held senior trading roles at Goldman Sachs and Citi in London, Tokyo and Hong Kong as well as being a Macro Portfolio Manager on the buyside with Capula Investment Services in London. He has an MSc in Mathematical Finance from Oxford University and has been a crypto enthusiast for most of his investing career.
Melchior de Villeneuve
Chief Revenue Officer
Melchior has 15+ years of experience in financial services, including 10 years within the AXA Group. Prior to Portofino, Melchior led Business Development at Lynceus Partners and Architas (AXA Group), accelerating growth through market & product expansion. Before this, Melchior was an investor in global listed equity and fixed income markets for companies within the AXA Group. He has an MSc in Hardware & Software Engineering from CentraleSupélec.
